This has been my first job right out of college. Joined ThoughtWorks for no specific reason. Hadn’t even heard of it. Was as clueless as any other grad. Now, I think it’s one of the best things that has happened to me.
Why am I dressed so out of place? (I mean formally ☺)
I’ve been a developer since I joined ThoughtWorks
Nothing
One of the best times in ThoughtWorks. Fun times, awesome trainers, my first ‘real’ introduction to OOPs, awesome batch mates and now friends from different parts of the world, getting used to different accents, awesome Leela Palace food, (especially desserts), lots of interactive learning sessions, my first laptop experience and some nice outings/parties. All of the above for almost 4-6 weeks.
University, better known as BootCamp, in those days! But one of the very first memorable experiences was, even before joining when ThoughtWorks had come to our college campus and all of the interviewees were given feedback. I’d never seen something like that before.
I, Me, Myself
I have had quite a few interests (sports, painting, physics, bio, kite flying, point and shoot photography, etc.) and they have been changing as the years passed by, but I think ThoughtWorks has been able to keep my ‘interest for coding’ as passionate for 6+ years now; different technologies being used to solve all kinds of problems that can bring about change.
